► “Take away the supernatural, and what remains is the unnatural.”

During the pandemic lockdown all the streets, businesses, and social life was totally closed and people were afraid to go outside and simply enjoy of the pure air, the nature and the beautiful landscapes that our city can still offer.

I am pretty sure that most of the people around the world felt the same, I mean, that feeling of impotence regarding to something totally new that we can´t deal with, just because it was absolutely unpredictable and, on the other hand we live in a society that make us believe that we can controll every aspect of our life.

It comes in response to the slight decrease in the numbers of COVID-19 cases registered in the country.

►► The LATEST restriction to TRAVEL to Perú

Updated January 20th 2021-Clarification of New Security Protocols for International Travel to Peru & Machu Picchu

From December 22nd to January 15th, the Peruvian government passed a series of security protocols to help stop the spread of the new variant of Covid-19 from the UK, and help mitigate the anticipated post-holiday 2nd wave. The initial set of security measures released by the current government were obscure and left many questions unanswered. In the last week many of the ambiguities have been cleared up.

Below I’ve detailed out what we know regarding the new legislation for travel to and from Peru & Machu Picchu during the pandemic.
All flights originating from Europe and longer than 8 hours have been suspended until January 31st.

All foreigners from Europe or South Africa, or anyone that has had a layover in Europe or South Africa in the last 14-days, that are non-residents of Peru, will be denied entry into Peru to help keep out the new variant of Coronavirus.

Travel Time
There is no equally favorable travel time for Peru. When we are having a beautiful time in the Andes, Lima lies under a blanket of fog, and when it is beautiful on the coast, it rains in the Andes and in the jungle.
For the Andes, which most tourists prefer to visit, the ideal time is April / May to September / October.

✈️ HOW TO TRAVEL TO PERÚ: INDIVIDUAL OR PACKAGE TOURS? SOLO OR WITH FRIENDS? 💥💥

Peru: individually or all-inclusive
The idea of traveling to Perú, organized by yourself or with a group, is primarily based on personal interests and ideas, but also on the finances and travel destinations availability as well as your personal travel experience.

In an organized group tour, the most important sights are usually visited on a two to three week round trip. The accommodations are reserved, the tour guide is almost always English-speakers and the people don´t need to worry about anything.

THE POST COVID-19 ERA: A NEW OPORTUNITY FOR TOURISM IN PERÚ

Tourism in our country has to reinvent itself. Traveling is already inherent to everyone, it has ceased to be a luxury, and in our opinion, as this challenge presents itself, recovering the industry will necessarily have to go through no longer being so and open its doors to the local traveler - with many fewer resources than the traveler from abroad -and with other desires.

But, are we going to encourage the usual internal tourism, that consumerist, devastating, disorderly, overwhelming tourism and forget about the lessons learned that Covid-19 is leaving us? It is certainly the opportunity to change and in that there is a great responsibility in the sector.

► What did J.R.R. TOLKIEN think of G.K CHESTERTON? ✝️

G. K. Chesterton

⭐️⭐️ G.K. Chesterton is perhaps one of the best catholic thinkers of our time. His books, writings and essays have influenced widely over millions of catholic (and non Catholic) people around the world.

Personally, I came across Chesterton and his valuable thinkings thanks to Juan Manuel de Prada, one of the best writers and thinkers of Spain and all the hispanic world.

De Prada conducted an important TV Show called Lagrimas en la Lluvia, where he used to discuss different sort of topics, from love to Science; from the Second Vatican Council to contemporary art.

J.R.R. Tolkien

Always along with scientifics, experts and distinguished specialists in different fields of knowledge.

So, Chesterton was always present in the De Prada dissertations and analysis; giving to his ideas a colourful freshness of common sense and good and smart sense of humour.

On the other hand, an ex girlfriend  had given me away a book from Chesterton, that I never read in the past; but I rediscovered very recently: The Man Who Was Thursday.

So, in many ways Chesterton and his thinking is always present, more over in these gritty and dark times of our history.

But what about of the another important and transcendent giant of the catholic literature?

J.R.R. Tolkien never proclaim himself as a catholic apologist in terms of his own literature; but he admitted that, in a non conscious way, he could have impregnated part of his religious thinking in his books and characters such as The Lord of The Rings.

Did they meet each other? We really do not know if they meet each other, since Tolkien really didn't speak about Chesterton at all.

But, we already know that Chesterton Everlasting Man influenced the conversion of C.S Lewis to Christianity; so Chesterton was widely present in his convertion and his way to see and understand the world.

C.S. Lewis

It is said that Tolkien also helped Lewis in believing in Jesus. So we exactly don't know who introduced the book to who. Tolkien could have introduced the book to Lewis or vice versa.

We also know that Lewis and Tolkien shared a group in which they usually discussed about theology, sharing ideas and points of view about different issues.

Tolkien would definitely know about the literature and thinking of Chesterton, and there are high possibilities that his literature could have influenced Tolkien plots and or / characters.

--------------------------------
