Starting our Journey
Our journey begins in Barranco, a district with a bohemian and artistic atmosphere. We take the bike paths to avoid traffic and enjoy the relaxed ambiance in this area. We then head towards Miraflores on Avenida 28 de Julio and Avenida Pardo, which offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
The Olivar de San Isidro
Our final destination is the Olivar de San Isidro, a park with centenary olive trees and a lagoon with fish and amphibious turtles. This park is a haven of peace in the midst of the bustling city of Lima and is one of the most beautiful places to enjoy a day outdoors.
In addition to the olives, we also saw tools and wheels of an ancient mill that was located in the area and belonged to a hacienda that owned the olive lands. There was also a great variety of birds in the area, which made our ride even more enjoyable.
The Malecón de Miraflores
After enjoying the Olivar de San Isidro, we head towards the Malecón de Miraflores. From there, you can contemplate the majesty of the cliffs that form the Lima bay. Paragliders fly close to the coast and offer a stunning spectacle that you cannot miss.
The Malecón de Miraflores is a popular place for walking, jogging, and cycling. There are several viewpoints where you can stop and enjoy panoramic views of the ocean and the city. There are also restaurants and cafes where you can take a break and enjoy a snack.
The Return to Barranco
After enjoying the Malecón de Miraflores, we decided to return to Barranco to complete our bike ride. We cycled along the malecón to not miss any details of the Peruvian sea and enjoy the views once again. Finally, we arrived in Barranco, the place where we began our journey.
